Sorry, not sorry.
When DH met me I was 19, 110 pounds. 11 years later I've gradually put on 140, I'm 250. I'm working on it, slowly but if I never go under 200 again I shoulnt have to deal with dumbass remarks from family, and hubby NOT defending me.

Edit-
I'm 5"7.5 and carry my weight well, so no I don't look like a whale.

Once you pass the 200 pound mark, you are going to get comments.

I don't know- seems like letting yourself go would be like 30-40 lbs? At least for me it would. I'm currently 15 lbs heavier than is comfy for me and am trying to get back on track too. My son is six so can't really blame baby weight anymore ha ha.

That said good luck on your weight loss journey and I hope you are doing it for yourself. You are worth it :)

As long as you are happy, eff everyone else and if your hubby can't stick up for you eff him too- it's not about the numbers on the scale its about your health and happiness.

My family is the same way, if I gain any weight they will be the 1st to say.

You should not have to tolerate nastiness and rude comments, no matter what.  I would feel if my dh didn't defend me, he must agree with them.

I don't think you should "let yourself go", but don't stress and be able to enjoy life.

You have more than doubled your weight, how can you say "It's not that much"?!?!?!?!?!

I have had 4 kids in the 15 years I have been married, I am only 12 lbs heavier than I was when DH and I met.

Why would you want to let yourself go?
