We have a family iPad, that we let our 4 year old use.

All this screen time for kids, I don't know. Every family can do what they want, but for us.. there is no need for her to have her own.

My 7yo & 4yo have Kurio 7s tablets.  They got them from my mm for Christmas.  They have a bunch of apps preloaded & you can download a bunch more.  you can turn on or off web browsing with parental restrictions in place.  It has a time management area.  I can restrict what hours it is allowed to be used & how many minutes too.

Ipad...don't waste your money on anything else.  My children each got one when they were 6 & 7 and we've never looked back.
