In another post someone said if you can't follow up your rules when your child questions the rules, it's a fail on your parenting. So now curious.

My children can question whatever they want. However that doesnt mean they will get an explanation. Sometimes it is just because i said so.

I give them the rules. They ask why I tell them why ONCE ! after that the answer is because I SAID SO ! if they ask again they are punished. I am an adult. They are the children. I am not spending 20 minutes every time they don't like my rules or want to follow them..

I usually outline why a rule is a rule but ultimately if they don't like it: tough titty, said the kitty.

Of course, I dont take it as a parenting fail, he has a right to an explination of the rules he has to follow
