Honestly it looks dull and small. I haven't seen one of those kitchen vents since I as a little girl. But hey, if you like it then that's all that matters.

Is the brick supposed to be unfinished?

Why is the brick not finished?

Are you renovating it?

I would paint over the brick and it looks like it could use more cabinets. But I do like how open the space is. It definitely could use some updating, maybe wood laminate flooring and new light fixtures, and why are the bricks uneven?

My kitchen has a vent like that but it doesn't really work right. I wish it did though.

I like the brick, the kitchen looks European, I like it.

Honestly?  It would depress me to have to cook in it, sorry.  The mis-matched brick doesn't appeal to me, the cabinets look ancient, the air vent over the stove is so out of date, I remember my nana's kitchen had one in the '50's.
