Pro-lifers do you really understand?

Do you understand that a person hood amendment means that a fetus has the same rights as the rest of us?

That means that an ectopic pregnancy can't be terminated. So countless women will end up infertile, in pain, or even dead senselessly.

That means that asking women for proof of miscarriage is acceptable. There is no time when the death of a loved one isn't confirmed by medical or police officials. If a fetus is a person every women suffering a miscarriage could be asked to prove her her pregnancy ended naturally.

I don't think most of you understand the impact. It's easy think about the impact banning abortion would have on irresponsible women. But have actually considered the impact this would have on women who want nothing more than to have a child but have suffered great tragedies.

Do you understand what you are really asking for in a legal sense?  If a fetus is legally a person pregnant women all over the country will suffer.

I don't have any problems with a woman deciding to have an early term abortion or terminating a pregnancy due to any medical reasons. I have a problem with women who decide to poison the child they are growing inside and intentionally cause harm to the baby. If you don't want it get rid of it but don't freaking damage the child and then birth it so it is forced to suffer

Agreed.  It would be a legal nightmare for women.  I don't think many of the people pushing for personhood have thought through all the ramifications.

No, they can't possibly comprehend the ramifications that it would have.

One reason why I changed my stance from pro-life to pro-choice.

Do they care? No. For people who claim to care so much about life, they don't really care much about how others are able to live.

No, this is just one extreme that could be used as a scare tactic.

Even before Roe V Wade, abortion was legal when the mother's life was in danger (as in ectopic pregnancy) and there was no need to prove a miscarriage.

Most pro-life people believe in some exceptions, as has always been the case.

Smart lady

Pro Chice is not pro- abortion

I don't think abortion is a good thing. But I understand that it can be a necessary thing. And I don't want the government deciding when it's necessary.
