Can any recommend a really good book or series for me? Dh is having surgery tomorrow and I will be waiting around at the hospital for a while, so I thought it would be smart to download some books. Thanks in advance!

What kind of genres do you enjoy?

I liked the Outlander series by Diana Gabaldon, and of course Game of Thrones by George R.R. Martin.

Pretty much any genre, really. Lately I've been reading historical fiction, but I'm ready to move on to some other genres.

Thank you!

Outlander is definitely historical fiction so it may be right up your alley....Modern times woman gets flung back in time to the Scottish Highlander days.

I'm currently reading 'Mickey Outside' by David Lender, and I'm enjoying it.  It's one of the March Kindle First books for Amazon Prime members, so if you are a prime member, you get it free until the end of the month.

Some other recent books that I've read and really liked are:

Eye of the Needle - Ken Follett

Son of a Grifter - Kent Walker

The Goldfinch - Donna Tartt

Shutter Island - Dennis Lehane

Devil in the Grove - Gilbert King

Night Film - Marisha Pessl

The Winds of War - Herman Wouk

Love it.  I'm almost done with The Fiery Cross.  Have you read all of them?
