I had a miscarriage on February 11. I was just shy of 9 weeks. I was told today by a pregnant woman that I need to forget about it. That I wasn't "really" pregnant. And that I need to get over it.

I kindly told her to eff off and walked away.

I realize that I didn't get to hear the heartbeat out see the baby on an ultrasound but good Lord lady show a little sympathy.
She WAS one of my best friends, or so i thought.

That was pretty disgusting of her to say. So sorry for your loss.

Well maybe you are telling too many people you aren't close to and they are sick of hearing it. You said "a lady" implying she isn't a close friend. It's been over a month, I'm sure people are annoyed

That was unbelievably callous and mean spirited. Some people are just clueless. I'm so sorry for your loss...(((hugs)))

Some people have no class.

However, I kept my miscarriages to myself even decades later. How did this come up to a random stranger?

I'm sorry for your loss, strangers wouldn't have the same thoughts you would expect from loved ones.
