How would you feel if your neighbors....

...got chickens?

Four hens, no roosters. It's the heart of suburbia, but you live in a cul de sac and their yard backs up to a wooded area.

I'd think it was cool and ask for eggs.

Chickens are allowed in many cities anymore, so I wouldn't think anything of it. We have an across the street neighbor with several and another a block away with quite a few. It never occurred to me to think anything of it. And my little kids think they're fun to see when we walk.

I would totally ask to buy any extra eggs they may have.

I would wish they had a rooster, because it makes the hens feel safe and I love waking up to that.

Wouldn't bother me at all unless they didn't maintain them and it started to smell. Then I'd call the Town to send an Inspecor down to see what the issue was. We have a Neighbor behind us that has had Chickens, Roosters and Peacocks and this is the suburbs. They occasionally jumped the fence or squeezed under. I've had their Peacocks on my deck. I"d just shoo them back home if they hung out too long. The Rooster died I guess but I loved him too.
