What should I do??!!!

I bought my son two mice. One passed away. My brother was sweet enought to buy the boys another mouse.

A few weeks later, our old mouse gives birth. Come To find out we got a male and female.

2 mice and 7 babies later, it's becoming messy. I try to clean out the cage at least twice a week but it's becoming obvious it's beginning to be too much

I tried taking them to a pet store but they won't take them

Now I think the mom is pregnant again.

What should I do??!!!

They are going to keep multiplying /:

Should I take them out to the woods? What do I do??!! /:

2 moms liked this

Buy a snake. You've started a great food supply.

Separate the male and the female. Sell the babies for cheap. Someone nearby has to have a snake that needs to eat :)

Why didn't you separate them?

This might sound cruel, but you're already willing to do them in, so why not advertise them as feeder mice? People with snakes or other reptiles are always looking for cheap food for their animals. And you could make a little profit while you're at it.
Wish I could help more. I had pet mice as a kid, and I think I aged my mom several years when they started breeding :/

Males have balls. There's no nice way to say it. They have big ol balls at their privates. Have your son pick them up and turn them over, and you can tell. The females will have teeny tiny nubs, but it's not a penis. I made that mistake once lol
