So back in jan my df crashed my car. It wasn't totaled but it wasn't drivable so we parked it Across the street. We took the plates off of it n put df plates on it ( family signed the car to us). Then sherrifs office came along and booted it because of df parking tickets ... Problem ? They put the wrong car type on the ticket and the wrong address... And the boot wasn't locked... So we took the boot off and put the car in the private driveway so we can fix it. He worked out the boot problem with the sherrifs office. Now we have a paper saying they towed our car.. And are fixing to auction it... Honestly that would be awesome... Problem? My car is still in the driveway. ...I wonder who's car they have because there's no other vehicles under df license plates or registration... You would think the guy towing would check that the car is the same color and model plus same license plate or at least registration

You changed the plates, removed the boot, and hid the car?

That's all I gathered from this post too.

It sounds like YOU caused this mess. Good luck with that.
Who the hell changes plates? Seriously.

Right!!
They fucked up. They caused this problem. And they're going to have a hell of a time getting things straightened out.

Whatever they intended it was not good or legal.

I was prepared to come in here and tell a few stories about some dumb cops here in my city. Lol What you did is wrong and illegal. Now someone else's car is going to be auctioned off because you switched plates and hid your car. You should be an adult and go down to the police station to get everything straightened out.
