You found out your engagement/wedding ring was fake?
I just read a thing on fb that said this woman got mad and confronted df after trying to have ring insured and found out it was fake. She freaked and now df thinks she's shallow and is thinking of calling off engagement.

So what would you do? Would you care?

I wouldn't be upset it was a fake, but I would be upset that he lied

I would be hurt because dishonesty is rarely if ever okay in a marriage, and lying about an engagement ring is NOT a great start to a marriage.

I'd feel like my DH didn't tell me because he thought I would be too shallow to accept a faux ring or too stupid to ever find out. :(

Lol I'd be pretty pissy, that's for sure. It's the lying that gets me. If he told me it was fake when I got it that would be different.

He lied.

Shithead.

If he told me it was real, I might be upset.
But seriously.
I can think of much larger travesties

Honesty is a big deal for me when it comes to or relationship. I'm not married yet but if my SO we're to give me a fake ring without telling me yes I would be posed. But in my case I can tell if jewelry is fake. I don't think she's being selfish because she was only trying to insure it and she had to go and embarrass herself

I would care that he lied.

I picked it out, so my issue would be with the jeweler.

I would be upset that he felt he needed to lie to me.

Well my engagement ring was free and has no gem in it so nothing to be fake. I have been through so many wedding rings it isn't funny. I don't even wear one now because I can't get one to fit. But all of them had real gems and I know that because I picked them out.
