If you are a teen mom(or were), I have a question for you.

Do you hold your parents responsible for the fact that you had a child(or children) as a teenager, or do you take responsibility for that yourself?

I am just wondering, because every time I see a post where someone is talking about their teenage daughter getting pregnant, these women are being blasted for failing as parents...I thought it would be good to get the "teen mom" take on this.

Lol no. That doesn't make sense. I always see those women and just shake my head at the ignorance.

I was on the edge of being a teen mom (18) but I didn't blame anybody. I made the choice to have sex knowing what could happen. My parents gave me the education and talks needed about sex, they did their part.

I was technically a teen mom, I was 19, and no I don't hold my parents responsible in any way, even if I was younger it would be my fault.

I got pregnant at 19. I hadn't lived with my parents over a year when I got pregnant. I don't blame anyone but myself.

It would have been nice if sex wasn't a forbidden word in my home, and I had been given at least a little bit of education on the topic. But in the end, I felt I was mature enough to have sex, I should have educated myself.

I take responsibility.

To blame your parents is ridiculous
