Take back an abusive boyfriend/husband/ex?
I'm not talking about one slap,
I'm talking that he broke your ribs, made you stand naked and poured cold water on you while he whipped you, and other horrible thing that i would rather not name.
If he told you after two years of separation that he got help for his anger issues, that he's in therapy and that he's changed for the better.
Bottom line; would you take him back if he changed?

Nope.  If he truly changed, he would know he wasn't even worthy of asking the question.

No, I would not take back anyone I gave the boot to. Regardless of the reason I gave them the boot.

Absolutely not.

My stepdad beat the hell out of my mom and I when I was younger. Every time she'd leave his ass, it was the same excuse: but I've changed, take me back!

And every single time he would go back to beating us.

One thing I learned from that experience is that I will never let myself be in a situation again where a man puts his hands on me (or my child) in a violent way. That is an ultimate dealbreaker for me, no exceptions.
