to take care of/hard to kill? I managed to kill the one I had left and would like to get a new one for the same spot. It gets some indirect sunlight from a high window.  I seem to have a green thumb outside but not inside.

It's called "mother in laws tongue plant", they are hard to kill. Hence, the name :)

I also have a Christmas cactus that is nearly impossible to kill.

I saw this one in the office I pick up water samples in this morning. It's called an Amaryllis? She said it is really hard to kill, and grows really fast. So fast that her children like to measure it at bedtime, and again in the morning.

I'll second that. I have my grandfathers plant from when he died in 1999 and I forget to water it all the time. Sometimes a month has gone by before I remember to water it and it's still alive and well.

Golden Pothos and spider plants are others that are easy to care for.
