Someone getting their gfs kid tattooed on them because he's getting their kids name and doesn't want her to feel left out? He considers her his own but the couples only been together 18 months

I think names other than family are a bad idea. If he marries her and adopts the kid sure.

I wonder why she was so quick in letting a boyfriend get into her child's life so quickly. If she's not over-the-moon happy with his gesture then she should keep bfs away from her dd until she knows it's a serious and commited relationship. You asked for an honest opinion...

I think if you get a tattoo of anyone's name or picture who isnt a.) deceased or b.) blood relative, you're gonna have a bad time.

That's a negative. I don't get why people tattoo their kids' names on their bodies to begin with. Is it like a precautionary thing in case you get alzheimers later on in life...or...

No never.  I was with my ex husband for 18 years and I would never have even thought about it.  I have my kids but not him.
