Would you ask the restaurants kitchen to fix a meal if YOU made a mistake?

e.g. you forgot to say no mushrooms

No. This just happened to me recently. I just ate around the offensive ingredient.

I would probably wait for the server to ask how we're doing then say, "ok- I hate that I completely forgot to tell you 'no mushrooms'" in a friendly, I'm such a dumbass, way. They'd probably offer to fix it and I might take them up on it after acting reasonably reluctant. If they didn't offer, I'd be just fine with it since it was my mistake.

nope i never return something if its just removing something, like taking off the mushrooms even if it is the kitchens fault, i hate to waste food.  i only ask if they completely messed it up, cooked it wrong or forgot something i will ask for it on the side

Yes i would.

Especially because some places dont tell you everything that comes with said dish.

We went to red robin a few months back, and they re did their menus, and they didnt put the burger comes with lettuce, we had to send hubbies back.
