Is he outgrowing this carseat?

Its been 5 long years since I had a baby in a car seat and the other two have been shorter as babies.

He's not. He's long. His feet hang off the end. He has his legs pulled up in this picture. But you can see how long they are. Should I upgrade to a 3 in 1 already?

He's 4 months as of tomorrow and around 13-14 lbs

Is it OK for his feet to hang out? That's what I'm wondering

I would keep him in an infant seat at that weight for sure, but that is just my opinion, I am definitely not a carseat expert. He doesn't seem to mind it in the pic!

Usually it's 1" from top head to tip of the shell is when it's outgrown. Feet don't matter much. Check your manual to be sure but he looks fine to me.

Look in your manual...

It's not about the legs, it's about the head and shoulders... The car seat manual should have actual measurements to go by, like when the head is an inch away from the top or something like that...

I was wondering that the other day. He's got really good head control.

I just don't know about how long he is if his feet are OK hanging out of it? Or if I move the straps to the next hole will that help?

He looks fine. The limits should be on the seat somewhere. My infant seat was 25 lbs and I think 21 inches.
