Bm was drinking and gave dh my son so she could go to rehab and detox . It's been over 2 years and I feel he's my son now . She has tried to take us to court but we have gotten out of the dates because he is military . She thinks she will get my son when we go to court in July . He's mine now .

Would you want to give your child to a drunk .

Most likely the court will give visitation at the very least.
The courts like to see bio parents with their children. Especially if they have managed to turn their lives around.
Good luck though

And if you loved him like your own son, you would realize that the greatest gift to give to a child is the chance for more people to love/care for/cherish them.

If she truly did complete her rehab and detox and has verification of this, I'm afraid most court systems will award her custody, albeit even supervised at first.

You shouldn't try to keep him away from his mother...You should instead try to accept the fact that he's lucky enough to have TWO to care about him and make it work.

Ok delusional!!!!. You are stepmom. The kid deserves to know his bm. She went to rehab and she has more right to the child than you do. I am guessing you are under 25?? That and kind of bitchy. Plus I think you might be allergic to gluten. And you need to exercise.

He will always be her son. She will get visitation from court if her life is straight now.

He is a person. He isn't anyones. You are his step mother not his birth mother.

At least she got helped and changed.  If you loved him you would want him  to have a relationship with his mother.
