Sitting in the hospital with my 2 yo...

I am sitting in the hospital ER with my 2 to who will be 3 in a month. I've taken him to doctor after doctor... Hospital after hospital... Specialist after specialist... Begging someone to listen to me that something is wrong with him. A doctor just looked at his medical history and symptoms and tolde she's pretty sure she has the answer... Cystic fibrous... At first I was happy. Thank god someone listen. Thank god someone isn't saying food allergies.. Then I look it up online...

It doesn't make you feel any better to have an answer when the answer says that treatments have improved for CF because now 45% of the patients are over 18 and some will live past 30, 40, or even 50...

I feel like balling but I can't leave the room and I have to keep a smile on my face until we are home in bed. He just won't understand.

I'll be waiting on the test results about his pancreatic (spelling?) function tomorrow... She took a look at his medical history and connected some serious dots no one else has and looking over the symptoms I'm mad I didn't connect it. All the breathing treatments, supposed food allergies that never helped THAT much when I took them out, bloating, all the times another thing popped up and I said why do I have to deal with this too?... And it was all connected

Deep breaths. Good luck! Once they make a diagnosis, they can begin treatment.

Are you a CF carrier? I am, I was tested during pregnancy. DH is not though.

No, I'm not. So my sons bio father would have to be. I asked his family for medical history last year and they refused to give it to me.

I'm so sorry.
But yes I do. When we got the call that my son's liver is enlarged and not working well.......
I need to keep a good face because if I cry infront of him , it will be worst
