My son is trying to kill me... Slowly, day by day a little more through sleep deprivation.

I have not had one good or full night of sleep in 4 years.

Does he nap during the day?

Not regularly - and when he does he needs to be awake for at least 8 hours before he can fall asleep again, even with melatonin. So if he naps from 1-3, he will be up until 11... Then still up at 6-7 am (normal wake up is 5). :(

I'm sorry mama. My DS sleeps through the night now, but he's 6. I promise, you eventually miss it.

He's 4? Ugh

My son is an early bird and I just got used to it. He's 13 now.

Hugs.

He's 3 months shy of 4... But my sleep was awful in my third trimester... So I round up.

He is an early bird - 5 am isn't abnormal. Even on an awful late night with wakings the latest he will sleep is 7.

He still naps at 4? Can you stop the naps and see if that helps?

I didn't realize it was a good idea to give a 4 year old melatonin.  I wouldn't be doing that.  Take him out in the yard or the park and play.  That's how I tired my kids out.
