My DD's shameful dinner

We had a very long day.  We had to be in and out of multiple cities before we picked up our daughter from school.  We were basically in the car from 6am to 4pm.  By the time I got home, the thought of cooking made me cringe.

Thus, I had one of those "lazy dinner' days, were I basically just take whatever is in the fridge already cooked and give it to them.  My daughters dinner consisted of two boiled eggs (made them yesterday for salads), brussels sprouts, and salami.  Yes, plain salami.  She seemed happy with it, but she is a little off in tastes for a kindergartner.  Tell me I am not the only one who does this?

You're not the only one who does this and your dd's dinner was still better than McD's.

I do that. My kids get random leftovers a lot. They don't mind.

We have free night once a week. We eat what is available. So we get leftovers eaten up. Sometimes there isn't any but we eat what is available and easy to make.

I'm not judging. We did a cheese meat and crackers night last Sunday. My 2yo ate so much cheese I am suffixes he wasn't constipated.

Lazy dinner for us normally consists of yogurt with a side of cucumber or strawberries with chocolate milk. Sometimes cereal.

1 mom liked this

She has horrible gas from eating a lot of veggies most of the time. lol.  I suppose there is both a good and bad side to having a child who actually likes stuff like eggs and sprouts. I've got some febreze on hand.
