Really? A fish fry for a t ball fundraiser that kids can't go to?!?!

My son is in tball. They require us to sell or buy 2 tickets for $12 each. This is fine with me if the kids could go. I now have these 2 tickets we won't use since I have no sitter. Ugh

How is it that parents never ever have sitters anymore?

Why aren't kids permitted? I would be irritated too.

I don't live near family and the sitter I use while I work also has a son on the team. Since we both don't have sitters and my husband is on call so can't be a reliable sitter we are having game night with the kids together

I personally won't leave my baby with a sitter so maybe that's why or they can't afford it

Because there is going to be gambling and drinking. I figured it would be "kid friendly" though since its for the kids.

What if there was ever an emergency?

Its just so strange to me, I see it a lot on this site. Women saying they have no sitter. Sim just not used to this I guess.

My daughter's school's only has one fundraiser a year. It's a cocktail evening/auction. No kids are allowed. I don't see the big deal.

why does t-ball need a fundraiser?

Simply opt out of participation and state your reasons why.

A lot of people are working two or three jobs just to survive that may be one reason. Another is there are a lot of untrustworthy people around and most parents don't want to take the chance with their children's safety.
