My 8 year old daughter had a choir concert this week at school and she chose these shoes to go with her dress. Her best friend's mom said she wouldnt buy those for her daughter because they were too tall. Then when my daughter's dad showed up at the concert (him and I are divorced) he said she was too young to wear shoes with that big of a heel. Then his mom proceeded to say the same. I didnt see anything wrong with them but then I started to wonder if other people would allow their daughter to wear these. Its not like I bought her stripper heels! I didnt see the big deal. *Edited to add she wore these for a total of 45 minutes and then after the concert changed into flip flops. I dont believe in anyway these are going to damage her feet since she wont be wearing these on a daily basis.

Absolutely. In fact, I think my 10yo has that same pair!

Personally, I wouldn't let DD wear high heels until sixteen, but I don't care if other people's kids wear them.

You're the parent you decide. There will be lots of things you do for your kids over the years that their friend's parent's won't agree with and vice versa. I don't have daughters so I'm not sure what I'd buy for an 8 year old girl.

Yes I would.

I personally suck at walking on anything that isn't flat though.

I think they are cute, but if the concert was on risers, it would make it easier to fall and get hurt.

My dd8 actually has a pair similar to those if not the same. But she only wore them once to a Father/Daughter Dance. They went well with her dress. I certainly wouldn't allow her to wear them to school during regular hours everyday. Lol. They're fine.
