My 7 1/2 year old daughter  (she has down syndrome) hasn't had a good size bowel movement in about 9 days (just small ones about the size of a small plum) and her stomach is distended.  She us grumpy and grunts and pushes my hand away when I touch it.  I have given her suppositories and miralax and that hasn't helped.  Waiting for the advice nurse to call back.  Or would you wait until tomorrow for urgent care?  I am worried about a blockage since it is common for kids with DS to get that.  She also has an aroma of poop coming from her, even though her pull up is clean.

EDIT:  She saw her GI dr yesterday and he wanted to try the miralax and suppositories first, but her tummy wasn't this distended until tonight after her dinner.

I would take her to the ER. That does not look good and a blockage can be dangerous.

Take her. Something could be very wrong if she is that distended.

Yes I'd take her in, but I would have taken her in long ago.

Yes I'd take her!  Why did you wait so long?
