i am livid,i just found out my dd's step mom got a job 2 months ago, which means shes not watching dd on my ex's time like he chose her to do. oh no dd is with her step grandma (step moms mom) who got her child taken away when she was 5(dd's step mom is that kid btw). the way i found out was dd's teacher called me to ask who the red headed woman was that dropped dd off this morning,i said "it was her step mom" the teacher said "no this woman was older and going grey"

smh im so pissed off

How do you know step grandma hasn't changed in the 20+ years since that incident?

i'd be upset too. why wouldn't your ex tell you that? you have a right to know who is taking care of your child.

My mom lost custody of 4 of her 5 kids (myself included)

Is she perfect now? No but she's not quite as bad as she was when I was 12

Maybe there is a reason why the lady dropped off your kid, if the SM has made repairs with her mother, then you should nicely ask what is going on,  and why you were not informed, in however many years it has been that she was taken away from her mother, she could have her act together, or there might have been other circumstances.

Do you have custody of your DD?  Are you in some kind of joing agreement?

Do you work? if not then your daughter should be with you while dad is at work.

I would be upset I was not made aware of the change, but I am not so sure I would hold something that happened many years ago against someone.

She could have changed in that time... Why did she lose her DD? I'm kinda thinking if your ex allows it he has reason to trust her but you do have a right to talk to him about it
