Handicap parking for scoliosis?

I'm going to get one because sometimes I can't walk more than two steps without crying out in pain. I'm not excited about people judging me because I look ok. The worst part is that I have been the ignorant asshole "calling out" a placard abuser. The memory makes me cringe. Well, actually I didn't see the placard because of tinted windows and I said something because I thought it was just illegal parking, but still. :( I should have looked harder or shut up.

I hope it's not a huge hassle to get one.

Its not that difficult. You'll need a doctors note though.

Unless you have a very apathetic doctor, they don't give out the placards to just ANYONE; they have to be signed off and recommended by a doctor. People who have the handicap placards have them for a REASON...and if someone calls you on it, tell them to mind their own business.

I read the DOL info. I don't think it will be hard. I don't like it anyway. Lol

I know, I can tell them that my information is private under HIPA. I just feel weird about it. I probably won't use it often.

I think some people think handicapped = wheelchair and that's not always the case.  There are many illnesses (fibromyalgia, MS, RA, etc) that are not visible that can cause issues with mobility.  I hope you get it and that nobody hassles you.

People with scoliosis should get handicap parking.
