We have a seperate playroom for our children, even though it means that two of them must share a room (4 room house, 3 kids).  They can bring their toys into other areas until cleaning time, but not their bedrooms.  For me, a bedroom is a sacred place.

Well when we only had 2 bedrooms all their toys were in their bedroom there was no place else for them.

Now we have a toy area but they can if they want too.  Their bedroom their choice what they choose to have in it.

Just like we have TV, computer and gaming system in ours.

Dds bed is in the room with all her toys. She takes a stuffed animal or something to bed with her every night

We dont have a play room.... never would want one either. So all of DS's toys are in his room. He knows bed time is bed time. He will sometimes sit there and talk to his stuffed animals a little bit, but he doesn't usually get up to play.

I voted other. My dd doesn't have toys in her room, but she has them in her closet. She has autism, so we have to keep distractions away from her at bedtime. If she were neurotypical, we would let her have toys in her room. She would just not be allowed to play with them at bedtime.

Dss toys are kept in his room.
I have never had an issue with him getting out of bed to play with them either.

I bet you have your toys in your room. Why can't your kids have theirs?
