Why the hell aren't they in the bed? !?!

My 7 year old has some buddies in the neighborhood who often knock on our door and either ask can my son come out to play or of they can play on his basketball goal. It's 8:30 here and the sun has already set but his friends just knocked on our door. They all looked to be younger than 9 and one little girl had to be 5 or 6. I don't understand why their behinds aren't in the house getting ready for bed. Ridiculous!

That happens here too. My kids go to bed at 8 and kids are still running around crazy at 830-9 on school nights. And they are all around 7 years old

Some parents just don't care. Or they have later bed times.

Its 8:30 here, but not dark. My boys are playing in their room. Bteeth brushing in about 15min and off to bed

I have always thought the same thing about the kids in our  neighborhood.  The other thing I wonder is if these kids have homework.  I mean I pull in the driveway with my boys and I have a horde of boys asking mine to play.  I have a rule homework first then play time.  I just don't get it.

Mine would have already been in bed for half an hour at that age... However right now one is just getting up for work and the other one is at school performing... Don't have a clue what the other two are doing.

They should be, at least on a school night. My youngest has 25 more minutes. My oldest a hour and 25 minutes. Tick tock tick tock
