I have a weird relationship with my dad. As a child we were close but as I've gotten older my eyes have been opened to his true nature and it's not pretty. I have a relationship with him but it's strained because I'm no longer "daddy's girl"

Today on Facebook (i know i know drama drama drama) i posted a picture of my son while he and i were out to lunch while waiting for my oil change. Captioned "out to lunch with my favorite little guy" and my dad comments " meet mr comb ????"

What? You have nothing to say about your grandson, the outing with mom, his cute little vest? Just a snarky comment about needing to comb his hair. I know it's no big deal, but i just don't get how he thinks.

This is the picture of my messy looking kid

Oh for sure! When it comes to him i tend to assume everything is meant in an asshole way. That's why i didn't say anything to him or comment back.

He thinks he's being funny

My dad does the same stuff. Not on Facebook, because he doesn't have one, but in person.

Last time we sent my mil school photos of our kids (she doesn't see them more than once a year) she sent back a letter saying that we need to brush our daughters hair before taking a photo. Nothing else in the letter, just that we need to brush her hair.

I hate it, but let it go. It's not worth the time.

I'm gonna be the odd one out and agree with you OP. While his comment wasn't way out of line, it wasn't necessary. You DS is adorable. I'd hate to see if he saw my kids hair some days lol. Just leaning against the back or side of his carseat makes his hair go insane lol.
