I'm expecting a baby in late September or early October and I'll be formula feeding but I didn't know which brand of formula would be the best.
Any suggestions?

Whatever, they start him with in the hospital.  Honestly all brands have to follow the same standards so there is not one that is better than another.

I used Similac Advance with my daughter and Similac Sensitive with my son.

No issues with either one.

Be prepared for the BFers to bombard.

Been a long time since mine were little but the hospital gave me formula for the babies to take home. I always just stuck with what they started them on. I used Similac with the first two and Enfamil with the youngest.

I had to switch my son to formula because he had digestive and gas issues. I used similac sensitive because it is easier to digest.

I hope your baby does not have colic!! My friend had to supplement bf'ing with formula. Her baby had a very sensitive stomach. Even on the SUPER, SUPER 'gentle' formula, her baby was crying in pain within 10 minutes of finishing her bottle of formula!! She pulled her legs up toward her tummy. It was heartbreaking to see and hear her poor sobbing!  :(  Before my friend had to start supplementing, and was giving her baby only breastmilk, her baby had no tummy issues.

I have bf'd all 5 of my babies. They never had any tummy issues. Good luck!

I heard you could make your own? I wish I had known that when I had to switch to formula with my second. I hated having to put him on formula, but I was grateful for at least something.

I used enfamil and never had an issue. I signed up on their website too and they mailed me coupons every month or every other month. It has been a while.
