how old is too old to wear a onesie in public?

I went to the grocery store this morning and struck up a convo with the lady in front of me. She had her 4 yr old son in the cart (I asked his age) and he was wearing a very stretched onesie. He looked a little silly in it and I thought this would be perfect CM fodder...so what do you think. What is the age limit you would take a kid out in a onesie?

Gross. Onesies are outfits at any age.

Certainly no older than potty training age ...my boys were out of them before 2.

As long as it fits properly, I see no problem with them up to 24 months, which is the biggest I've seen.

4 is to old. I stoped at the age of 1 for onesie son. It just started to look a bit wired to me. I know that stupid but everyone different.

I do not remember when, but she was potty trained at 2.5, so before that.

I stopped putting my DS in onesies once he turned 1.

Once they are walking, they are too old to be out in public in a onesie.
