If a parent and step parent divorce...

Should the step parent be allowed to see the child still? This step parent has been there since birth and is very important to the child.

I think it's up to the birth parent, but if the divorce is civil it'd be nice for them to allow it.

My ex and his wife are having problems. He probably cheated on her (no surprise there) and she straight up asked me if I would still allow it. I told her I would never cut her out of DDs life.

In the past, they have had problems and my ex was very controlling about SM seeing my DD. I just want my DD to be as minimally impacted as possible. If possible at all.

That's up to the bio parent and the step. My last step father I kept. My mother moved away while I was pregnant znd my stepfather had been around since I was about 13 and I liked him anyway he was my kids grandfather while he was alive. My kids adored him and don't know my mother.
