To all you moms who think that I am horrible and the worst full-time step mom ever, we got DSD's report card this weekend.

I must be so horrible, because my beautiful, smart, ODD DSD got A-B Honor Roll!

My seven year old child who has had real problems in school as well as at home, in the first grade for the secong time, is on the Honor Roll!

I could NOT be happier, or more proud of her!

I love you, sweet girl.

There are some moms in here who hate me and think that everything I do is wrong.

So, I just wanted to share this good news with them, to let them know that I must be doing something right, as if everything was wrong, she wouldn't be on Honor Roll.

No, it's an A-B.  In every school I went to and every school my kids have gone to there is A honor roll for straight A students and A-B honor roll for students with A's and B's. A "participation ribbon" would be calling below average students "honor roll students". Why be snotty?

She looks really angry...

While it's awesome she is doin' better, it's not necessary to make a post such as this. Why fuel the fire...unless you like the drama?

I don't hate you, I just think you're making a horrible decision for your family.

I've never heard of a second place honor roll. Not being snotty, I just think it's silly kids are rewarded for things that really aren't achievements these days.  Being second place is just the first to lose.

A-B's shouldn't be honour roll, those are expected grades.  All A's is something to be proud of.
