How the hell can you buy a house while having like a min wage job and your partner as well and having a kid? most of you just got out of hs or havent even finished. I cant even pay a house in my area because they are so pricey and i have a job paying more than that and so does dh. Im interest in knowing since i would love to live in a house rather than my appartment

You do realize that the cost of housing varies by area, right? One of my friends bought her first house right out of high school, and had a mortgage payment that was far less than what she would have paid for rent on an apartment.

Well, around here there are houses for sale at less than 10,000. SO, while they are probably not a mansion or even a dream house, it is a house and  your mortgage payment would be crazy low...like 200/mo for a 5year mortgage.... though for that price why would you get a mortgage.

Also, I have friend who claims she has never lived in an apartment(always a house) and never rented.  They have always lived in a trailer, so what she says is true.  Though....

2 moms liked this

I find it interesting because the mortgage companies these days will barely give loans out to a hard working couple much less a teenager. Hell I dont think it is even legal for teens to take out a loan. My teens couldnt even open a bank account without a parent or guardian.

I had my first son at 17. I stayed with my parents until I graduated. I've always rented after that.
