I was a mean girl...

In high school and part of college, I was a "mean girl". I outgrew it but sadly some don't. I wasn't exactly quite as bad as the girls on the actual movie but I wasn't sweet and innocent either. I was prom queen, head cheerleader, voted Miss MMHS, sorority girl, ect. Had the whole world at my fingertips. Thought the world revolved around me. A spoiled, entitled, brat. Judging others on their looks was a big problem I had.

Now that I'm a grown woman and a mom I worry about this with my own daughters. I grew up and realized how awful I had been to people in my past. That was a long time ago and I'm no longer that person but it makes me paranoid raising daughters. How will I make sure they aren't like I was? They're only 4 and 7 right now and I try to teach and show respect for all people, kindness, compassion but those are qualities that I should have learned much earlier in life.

That's my confession....

well, that's the past.

All you can do now is be the best role model for your girls.

I had a great role model in my mother who probably didn't even see my selfish and hateful ways. IDK what made me that way or what could have prevented it.

Karma is strange and I have a feeling you'll pay by seeing your daughters pay the price for your actions.

I don't think my school had any "mean girls." Of course most people had their mean moments, even me, but no one was nearly as bad as the girls in the movie.

I was a cheerleader, volley ball captain, i was really popular yet i was named the most nicest person.... I always wonder why some teen girls feel the need to be awful :/
anyways well lets hope they don't follow on your Regina George type of path and that they become awesome people of the world.
But i do get your concerned, i wouldn't want my daughter to flash cops and steal chicken and mayo like i did.
We shall pray that our mistakes will not be repeated by our kids eh.

I don't know really. Not from my mother. That's just how my friends were.
