This is going to tell my age but does anyone think its total BS that Nirvana gets into the Hall of fame before Pearl Jam. Sorry but Pearl Jam contributes SO SO SO much more to music than Nirvana. I mean how much did Nirvana  contribute? Seriously? Three years and boom he blew his brains out. Yes I realize Nirvana was underground longer than that but Pearl Jam has contributed over 20+ years of really good serious music. WTF is the hall of fame  people thinking? Its not fair. I am going to guess most of you do not know who one or both of these bands are but I am telling you its not fair. Its probably the angriest I have been in a few weeks. I guess you would have had to grown up in that time and with these two bands to understand.  To me its like they gave them this because its the 20 year anniversary of his death, which isnt right. It is suppose to be about what you contribute to the scene am I correct? Most of you even if you do not know these bands can at least answer that question. I just want to know that I am rightfully upset about this.

Nirvana started an entire shift in the music industry.  It was the front runner to the Grunge movement.

I know both band and I cannot stand pearl jams music besides the remake of the where oh where could my baby be song. So I personally like nirvana a lot better. I can't be much help otherwise on the topic.

I love Pearl Jam. I think Nirvana is highly overrated, as was Kurt Cobain. He was a burnt-out junkie who wanted nothing more to be a martyred tragic figure. Hell, Foo Fighters is better.

Nirvana was the most public, but not the front runner. I was into garage grunge long before Nirvana was popular!
