My ex called and said I have to keep dd this week, not that I have a problem with it. I asked him why and he said he just spent $600 getting his wife's 2 rats fixed......seriously...you took rats to get fixed? I'm sorry but how stupid can you be? Just put them in different cages

Smh all because his wife wanted 2 more rats and got males

Where did they go that it cost that much?  The vet here would do them both up for much less.

Their vet charges the same rate no matter the animal

That's their first stupid problem. Wtf kind of vet charges that much for neutering two rats, or any animal, for that matter.

While I don't agree pets should come before kids, I don't understand the attitude about rats not being worthy of proper vet care and general care.

They are no less than a dog or cat.  They are a family pet.

So why not keep them in separate cages? Cages don't cost 300$

Wow! ! It cost me 400.00 to get my dog and cat fixed plus all their shots . And the worm testing but I wouldn't do it if it meant I couldn't see my kid.
