Use some of my mom's money that's almost gone. Anyway if I cant find someone to help me. I might have to go buy a car on my own. Kinda scary. Lol. I am familiar with older cars. I had a 96 Camry a couple years back. So would you do it alone if u couldn't find help. Buy a car for cash by yourself??? The rental car has already cost me

I just bought this for 4,000 alone. I didnt need one but I couldnt pass up a good deal. Its a 2001 eddie bauer expedition is 41,000 miles on it in perfect condition. I can probably sell it for 6800..:-)

Meet in a public place with a lot of camers and a lot of people. Look under the car, in the car, under the hood for a good while. Make sure you like the car and you don't see anything wrong with it. Test drive it. Make sure everything sounds good and nothing feels.. off.

Good luck!

I'd do better on my own than with my DH is tow. You'll do fine. My only piece of advise is once you narrow down what cars your interested in getting ask others for their input.

The only car I will ever tell anyone not to buy EVER is a PT Cruiser regardless of what year or model it is. That car is one of the worst cars ever built. Even a Ford Pinto was better.

Yes I have. I do my research on the make and model I am considering and then take the car to a local mechanic and have them check it from bumper to bumper and let me know if anything is close to needing replaced or repaired and an estimate on the cost. That only costs about $75 and it is money well spent.
