What type of caterpillar is this?

I tried google and the only one can find that looks like this is only in Canada and Connecticut. I'm in central Texas

Lol that's crazy. I grew up in Japan where fuzzy caterpillars are deadly. So I'm a little nervous since my cat was playing with it

Looks like a gypsy moth/tent catapillar. Can hurt the tree it's on.
