Eta. Would you?

If your 16 year old was at a friends house 25 minutes away and asked you to bring money so she could "hang with her friends" (probably at the mall), would you do so?

Eta: she does this kind of thing all the time, she was told that since I was paying her insurance she would have to come up with her own spending money, she has been half heartedly trying to get a job but has only put in 8 or 9 applications, she hasn't wanted to do extra chores for spending money and all she wants to do is hang with her friends.

Now what would you say?

Sure as long as I wasn't busy.

Probably not, it would depend on why she didn't have money in the first place. I already plan on having a prepaid debit card for her by then. I wouldn't have to travel to her to put twenty bucks on her card.

Depends how often this happens.  If there is an expectation that a parent will drop everything anytime and cater to the kid, then probably not, but if politely asked for a favour, sure.  You are only young once.  I want my kids to have fun and enjoy their youth.  I usually make sure my kids have some cash on all the time though.

I don't know.  It would depend on a lot of things.

It depends. If she was well-behaved, and was doing well in school, and didn't regularly make this kind of request, and I had the money and extra time to make the trip then I probably would.

Nope. Sorry, not their personal assistant, nor their personal ATM.
