Damn, life is expensive

We get paid and I think, "YAY! We have money!"

Then life gets on the way:

New pair of shoes for DH that he needs because the old ones are falling apart- $40

New bra for DD, because she no longer fits in the old one- $25

Pair of black slacks for DS to start his job on Mon- $30 (he'd buy them himself, but he has no money, because it's a first job)

Field trip to the State Capitol for youngest DD- $20

Car registration- $65

New (rebuilt) lawn mower, because the old one broke- $75

$255 in expenses that are outside our regular monthly expenses. (rent, utilities, food, insurance, etc.)

What expenses beyond your regular bills have you had this month?

Well, I've been renovating a house, and money is flowing out like crazy.  Hope it comes back to us!  I've purchased flooring, appliances, plumbing work, paint, handyman services, etc.

Prom was expensive too.

**HUGS***

I'm so sorry for your loss. We had an uncle die recently, who was like a father to my DH and that definitely put a dent in the budget.  Travel expenses killed us.

It adds up fast. I am having surgery on Tuesday and have had too many preop appointments - each with a copay. Plus medications and supplies and new jammies for the hospital. Probably totaled 400. I had to rent an ice machine - 300 bucks. 700 Ack!

Thank you.  His grandmother pretty much helped raise him.  But this wasnt for travel we had to pay for all the costs she was 90 and didnt have insurance and her daughter (hubs mom) didnt think about in recent years having pre paid funeral costs.  But because of how close we were to her we didnt mind-just was a dent in the pay.
