Moms, when you sit down with your little one when out to eat, dont bring out the tablet. Engage with your child. Talk to your child. your child doesnt need to be babysat with a ipad playing a cartoon. Parents, when you sit down with your family, turn OFF the cell phones and computers and tablets. Talk to your family. Your facebook shouldnt be the first thing you think of when you sit down to eat and you have to take a picture of your plate and post it. It should be the last thing, of a empty plate and a caption of funny stories told that evening over that meal.

This is something I see all the time and it makes me very angry and sad for the children especially your toddlers needing language to be modeled to them to increase expressive language. This is a very negative aspect if technology.

Yawn.

This is a great message for people who would otherwise be social if it weren't for social media. But for introverts like me, limiting the internet would do nothing but cut me off from the world completely. It's not like I'm going to put down my phone and suddenly have a group of friends magically appear out of thin air in my living room.
