Yeah, this was the defininition I was thinking of. :)

Quoting OvenInUse: Here is the most appropriate definition of a shotgun wedding. A shotgun wedding is a wedding that is arranged to avoid embarrassment due to an unplanned pregnancy, rather than out of the desire of the participants. The phrase is an American colloquialism, though it is also used in other parts of the world, based on a supposed scenario (usually hyperbole) that the father of the pregnant daughter, almost by accepted custom, must resort to using coercion (such as threatening with a shotgun) to ensure that the man who impregnated her follows through with the wedding.

I figured. :) At least we can be civil about it. Thanks for that.

Quoting Anonymous: Yes, we have different meanings.
Quoting My2Midgets01:

I was more thinking the standard definition of shotgun wedding is a forced or hurried marriage only BECAUSE the woman got pregnant. I wouldn't refer to a wedding where a woman is pregnant as shotgun if they were engaged way before getting pregnant and they didn't rush anything. That's what I was meaning. We could both have completely different definitions though, that's all.

Quoting Anonymous: You're getting married pregnant.
Quoting My2Midgets01:

Technically no, but if you think so, Ok. :)

Quoting Anonymous: That's still a shotgun.
Quoting My2Midgets01:

Who cares what anyone thinks... I have been engaged to my fiance' for over a year, we are still getting married in September, and I am due in November. Call it shotgun if you must, but we were engaged BEFORE we got pregnant, and the pregnancy was planned. Regardless of how it went down, if you are happy, that's what matters. There is no specific order to do things in life anyway. Ignore those who want to push your buttons. Congrats!

Quoting owl0210: The jackass anon apparently knows that I'm engaged and expecting a baby but they're too much of a p*ssy to say it under their SN.
Quoting OklahomaWifey: My thoughts exactly. I don't see what's wrong with her ring... How it implies a 'shotgun wedding'
Quoting seksen: You sound like a moron anon.
Quoting Anonymous:

No but that is all YOU got LMFAO.

Quoting owl0210: that all you got?
Quoting Anonymous:

LMFAO shotgun wedding.
