Or let him stay?
He/she lived under our deck last year and recently came back.
I'm considering trapping him and taking him further out in the country.
He's so dang cute though!

Tough to say. He's cute but if he caused damage or anything like that I would catch and release.

if that bitch came up on my house he'd end up in a trap and then with a .22 round through its head.  I don't do racoons, nasty vile filthy disease-ridden vermin.  I've killed at least a dozen in the last few years around here, trust me when I tell you we didn't see a single coon last summer.

No, I wouldn't. He probably lives somewhere other than your back deck. He is so cute. He probably uses your back deck as a resting spot on his nocturnal journies. Now if he is doing damage and such, you might have to. He is so cute.

Yes he is cute, however, wild raccoons can be destructive, and mean as fire.  I say trap and relocate him.

Get rid of it before it causes damage.
