My sister got mad at me because I keep my four year old in a crib at night. She said I'm abusing her by putting her in a cage. I explained that I don't want dd getting up in the middle of the night and getting into stuff she isn't supposed to. I'm planning on having the crib until she outgrows it, and no, dd doesn't climb out of it, she is too scared to.

Please be a troll. A four year old in a crib? Lady it's time to let your little one grow up. By four my children were in a twin size bed.

A four year old in a crib is ridiculous. You ARE using it like a cage. She is old enough to be taught to stay in a regular bed at night.

I don't know...it does seem strange to keep a 4 year old in a crib. I'm not an expert on the matter though. I cant think of a reason not to, it just seems weird.

There is NO way my 4 year olds would sleep in a crib.

Cribs are for babies!

My kids were out of the crib before they turned 2. Why is she scared to climb out of the crib?

Cage means confined in, so technically it is a cage.
