And I am still going.

I don't ask for discounts unless there is a sign saying they give one or I know from an email of something.

I don't expect to get thanks for what I do. I don't do it for that. I do it so that maybe my kids won't have to. I love my job. I love the opportunities the military has given me.

When I am thanked for my service....it kind of embarrasses me. But I say thank you to them. Because obviously they support me and what I do.

Lol!! DH is on terminal leave, but has had his retirement ceremony. I'd never behave the way that lunatic did.

I never ask for discounts, if they have one when they see my card that says "Navy Federal" they offer it to me.

Thanks for your service. I served 6 years and my husband is still active duty going on 8 years. I sometimes ask if a store has a discount but more in a joking tone and just say "okay" if they don't. It's no big deal. But I have never expected it or demanded it or threw a fit if I didn't get one.
