I'm wondering if I should bring dd in to the doctor or not? I've been trying warm compresses but she cries that it hurts the whole time and the compresses don't seen to be helping. The boil/abscess thing doesn't seem to be getting much bigger but it is bigger than it was when I first noticed it. It is warm to the touch.

I don't want to make an unnecessary trip to the doctor if it's not needed but I also don't want it to get bad if it's a staph infection or something like that. Would you bring her in or wait it out?

Eta: she's 3 and the boil is on her groin.

Yes I would take her. She's uncomfortable and it's really inflamed. Better safe than sorry momma. I'd go to the pediatrician.

I would take her if it's warm to the touch. Staph infections can become quite serious if that is what it is.

With it being warm and the color around it I'd take her in. Her pediatrician should be fine though.
