Of the local blueberry baking competition.

My mother in law presents... this year's entry. Practice run number one. Blueberry cream puffs.

I love summer.

(And yes it's on a coffee filter, I'm out of paper plates, paper towels and I don't want to dirty a plate. Don't judge me! LOL)

The first year she won she made a blueberry upside down cake, last year she made a trifle...

Omg, it was soo good. I can't wait for practice run two! She'll take the blue ribbon, third year in a row, for sure.

I know! Then MIL and I wonder why we didn't actually lose weight after being active all summer. If she'd stop forcing baked goods on me. Lol

Well come back and play tourist again! It's the biggest weekend of the year. You can get baked goods at the church, ride sketchy carnival rides on the dike (no really, it's called the dike) get your boogie on at the street dance and then the blackfly ball at the grange. And go home with a boatload of local crafts and artwork. Did I mention seafood? Omg, we have a seafood platter big enough for four where I work... and loooobster, lobsters, come on... boiled lobster dinner.

Have you never heard of eating things in moderation? Having one isn't going to cause weight gain. Having 20 is the problem. I have slow metabolism and have to watch everything I eat, but even I am able to splurge. Moderation!

Lol, I'm sure she was kidding around. Like people will say "I gained 10 lbs just looking at that dessert"

:p
