My thyroid is low...which I am guessing that she means I have hypothyroidism. I also have high cholesterol which from what I read could be a result of my thyroid production being low. Has anyone else ever had this issue or is currently being treated for it?

I've taken synthroid since I was a teenager. It's no big deal. Get the generic & it's $4 a month at Walmart.

And the cholesterol- eat less fatty foods & get to walking & you can probably get that down on your own.

I got diagnosed last summer. I take Armour thyroid 60mg. It took a couple months to get my dosage right. A couple months later symptoms went away.
