I can't edit my Pledge post

So I will put my "edit" in a new post.

It seems that the post blew up because people jumped to conclusions about my motive and how I felt about it.
First let me say I am not pissed or even remotely mad. I had read an article where a teenage high school student and atheist was being attacked by his school for refusing to say "under God". T is his right to omit those words in my opinion.
This then le me to thinking and posting about how I will not allow the school or anyone for tht matter to force my daughter to say those words. If she chooses to do so I won't have an issue with it.
For those arguing that it is part of the pledge that part wasn't adds until the communist scare in the 1950s. The original pledge, written by a socialist preacher in the late 1800s, did not include those words. "Under God" was added as a political ploy.
For those who attacked me, it is my right to not follow your norm. I don't go aroundforinnpeoplebto acknowledge my deities or spiritual beliefs. Is it so hard to give that same respect to others?

I would also like to add that I am tolerant offal religions. I like the teachings of Christ. I just happen to not like many people who call themselves Christians.
Regardless of your personal spiritual or religious beliefs they have no place in government or politics.

How am I ridiculous? I have been called everything under the sun in that post and most of my replies went ignored. I couldn't edit it for people to read so I thought I would set the record straight here.
